Grilled beef with ginger, garlic, soy sauce and apricot jam

Grilled beef with leek, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sesame oil and apricot jam.

Ingredients

  • 500g thinly sliced beef (I use rump or flank, trimmed)
  • 50g leek or 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • a few slices of ginger, julienned
  • 3 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp. apricot jam
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • sesame seeds, toasted, to garnish
  • sliced green shallot, to garnish
  • sliced chili, seeds removed, to garnish

Method

  • Marinate the meat with all ingredients (except for the capsicum)
  • Grill on a hot plate until cooked
  • Garnish with green shallot, sesame seeds and sliced chili
