Lettuce with oyster sauce

Iceberg lettuce with oyster sauce 蚝油生菜 (FODMAP friendly)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 iceberg lettuce, broken up loosely (with hands is best)
  • a dash of oyster sauce (approx. 1 to 1.5 tbsp, depending on your preference)
  • a dash of olive oil or sesame oil (approx 1 to 1.5 tbsp, depending on your preference)
  • a dash of cooking oil – for blanching

Methods

  • Bring a pot of water to boil, add a dash of cooking oil and the lettuce
  • Bring the water to boil again
  • Remove the lettuce from the water using a strainer, shake off the excess water
  • Place the lettuce in a dish, drizzle over the oyster sauce and olive/sesame oil
  • Serve warm or at room temperature
