'Salty-sweet-sour' chicken with soy, vinegar & preserved turnip

Stir-fried chicken with Chinese sweet vinegar and Chinese wine


  • 300g chicken thigh fillet, sliced
  • 1 large clove of garlic, minced
  • a few thin slices of ginger, julienned
  • 2 tsp sweet Chinese vinegar or balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp Chinese cooking wine
  • 2 tsp dark soy sauce¬†
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp of corn flour, mixed with 1 tbsp. of water¬†
  • cooking oil
  • chopped coriander, to garish

  • Marinate the chicken with ginger, garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, Chinese wine and sugar
  • Heat up a frying pan with some cooking oil, add the marinated chicken, stir fry until cooked; add the corn flour mixture, stir through until thicken
  • Garnish with coriander
